Homemade Boursin Cheese
Perfect to have on hand for unexpected guests. Use to stuff small multi-colored tomatoes, cucumbers or just spread on small pumpernickel bread or crackers.
Ingredients
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed/minced until very fine
- 8 oz butter, room temperature
- 16 oz cream cheese, room temperature
- 3 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese (freshly grated)
- 1 tablespoon fresh dill, minced or 1 teaspoon dried dill weed, crumbled
- 1/2 of each of the following: marjoram, basil, black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme, crumbled
- 2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley
Directions
- Mix cheeses, butter and garlic.
- Add remaining ingredients, mix well.
- Pack into a container just large enough to hold the mixture and store in refrigerator.
- Serve at room temperature; especially on cucumber bites.
Take the dry herbs and rub them between your fingers before adding.
